Design Case Study - Golf Putter

My Role: design execution, engineering integration, production ready CAD development & visualization

Collaborating directly with Luis Pedraza, founder of Axis1 Golf, I served as the industrial design and CAD development partner to engineer a customized, high-performance mallet putter head specifically for Major Champion Justin Rose. This high-stakes program required translating Axis1’s proprietary torque-free mechanical architecture into a highly refined, premium aesthetic that inspires absolute confidence at address. Working in tight iterative loops, I developed the precise parametric 3D models required to position the center of gravity perfectly on the center of the face and aligned with the shaft axis. The development cycle involved continuous sketch refinement, high-fidelity CAD iteration, and CNC-milled prototyping in high-grade German stainless steel, with direct feedback and validation from Rose and his team of experts. The final design successfully balances rigorous mechanical physics with elite athletic ergonomics, resulting in a tournament-proven club that Rose has trusted in competitive play for years.
